Beauty: Clinique`s Take the Day Off Balm

Its finally time to talk about a product I have been loving so much recently that its become one of my "must have" products. When I think back on my skincare routine in the early days, I always loved new products or cremes that supported what was already there. I never really had bad skin when I was a teenager, and I am glad I can still say that now. I do suffer from breakouts every now and then, but this usually comes from bad food, sugar or stress. So I know how to take care of them and as I mentioned in my last post, theu usually dissapear within 2 days. Lucky me ey? Probably. Thinking of make up I didnt start to early, back in school I had friends that werent allowed to wear eye shadow when being in school and to be honest, it was a big big deal back then to do so. Dont ask me why, because if I see young girls nowadays, I am shocked of how much they wear on their faces. But nevermind. I used to take my make up off with make up wipes, different brands like BeBe or Nivea come to mind on that one, liked the smell and I always thought they did the job. But in the last two years, ever since I probably thought and tried more different brands as well as techniques, I come to invest more in this time of my life as well.

This is where Clinique comes into place. I have been a big "fan" since my early years, because I could afford it and I believed in the products itself. Years later I still have loads of products from them, either make up related, like the pop blush and lip colors or skincare wise, like my rich eye cream as well as this little helper. Clinique -Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is truely amazing. I first was a bit skeptical; a balm? Wont that make a mess? Maybe around your eyes but at least you look like a little panda by the end of the day. -little side joke there- I usually rinse it off with warm water or make up wipes and then continue my routine. The feeling of the balm is very soft and you really only need a little to get your make up of the day off. Which I think is great, because its a good budget buy for everyone who is sick of baby wipes/make up wipes.

Hope you liked this little review. Lots of love,

Beauty: Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener

If you belong to one of those people who can sleep however long and still get dark eye circles; this is for you. If not? I envy you; but please read on. I have always been part of the first group to be honest. Friends and colleagues would ask me if I am ok or just tired when they saw me everyday; well I generally sleep bad or not much anyway; habbit of someone who cant shut off after work or on the weekends; but that didnt help the cause of my eye area. Now I alrady talked about the Bobbi Brown Corrector (Tinted Eye Brightener) which I love; its so easy and quick to apply that I use it everyday as part of my routine. Still I always used to wear liquid concealers and always will; ever since I run out of the Clarins one which was one of my favorites in coverage and application this while year; I decided to try the Bobbi Brown one. And I am honestly impressed. I went to the Bobbi Brown counter where a great person helped me find the right fit(aka color) for me to cover my tired eyes. One thing I hardly realised is that it does make a difference if you go for one that covers rather blue(ish) eye circles instead of dark red ones; a huge difference actually. I chosse the "Bisque3 " which suits me just perfect. Using it on my "make up " free days as well it just makes me brighten up a bit and I look so much more less tired.

Lots of love ;

Hello peps; back to another week of my weekly Instagram Update. Hope you are all doing well. After a very relaxing weekend I should feel fresh and ready to start in the week; instead .. I am planing holidays :)
Over Sunday evening I found myself with two friends in a Spa in Douglas; which was a very great way to spent the day. My skin in general is not bad;but I still see and feel a little difference after the facial; probably because I halway smiled through it; it was just so weird to let someone else do my skin routine.
Otherwise I finally dudged the bullet and went for the Nutribullet; I am sure you have seen that on my Instagram feed lately; what can I say -I love it :

Bye Bye Spa

Hope you have a great start in the week; mine as usual starts with coffee

Hello all; I dont know why and how; but I feel things are changing a little; or at least I have the feeling things in my life will change. I am trying to get the grip back into my life; meaning that all over September I hardly ever went running outside; I was a hard core sugar addict thanks to my work schedule and quarter end; now that we have October and a new quarter I feel like a lot is off my shoulders even though it isnt. If you know what I mean. I recently feel much better if I have a weekend where I just relax and clean my apartment; read a book and go to the cinema. Instead of doing anything amazing; and that scares me; I rely way to much on my quiet weekends and I already know; I will regret them because I could do so much more right?

So this is where I went crazy. I try to see some of my friends that life in Paris or London over October and November; so I get to see them as well as a different city again - not that I havent been- and I am still struggeling to find a good date to fly to New York and Chicago; any ideas on that? Always welcome.

Never the less; above you can see a little collection over the past few days as usual. Hope you like them; let me know if I should change anything about updating you guys on that one ;)

All the love

Yet another week pased in September and I really get the feeling of Autumn these days; the trees have less leaves; the wind and rain is the usual to be honest and I def. will wear more scarfs for sure. Now Cork isnt much of a summer destination anyway; so I dont think I need to adapt to much; I love Fall though so I am super excited to all the food and clothes; and different makeup. I am much more a winter person than a summer person for sure.
Over the weekend I also managed to finally read "The girl on the train" which took me forever to start; I bought it in January and now its Sep. crazy right? But its soo good; I do understand the comparision to Gone Girl to some respect; but its pretty awesome on its on.
Other then that I just had a much needed relaxing evening. I am looking forward to this (end) of the week; recently I cant really get excited about Mondays; I wonder why :)

Hope you have a lovely week
Lots of love

Beauty: Bumble&Bumble

So by now you all know I have an addiction to beauty products; if it comes to hair products; shampoos or body lotions in particilur; I have it all. Which is bad right? I mean it all smells great and does its purpose; but do I need it all?

But as much as I envy people who dont do that; I love just trying all of that.

So its no wonder I am a fan of Bumble&Bumble as well. Obove I have three products; I either had tried before or wanted to give a try. Let`s start with the BB Sunday Shampoo. I have heard of this ages ago; might be a year by now; and the first instinct was; this is pricy. With around 25-30 Euro; it is a lot of money for a hair shampoo; but then having converted to Kerastase Shampoos about 5 years ago -whaat- I figured about 5 euro more will be ok. Since then; I think I bought the Sunday Shampoo about 3 times? I actually do use in on Sunday; which is funny. What it actually does> It is supporting your scalp while getting rid of all unnatural incredients in your other products; like if you feel your hairproducts weight your hair down for example. Incredients like Ginseng Root Extract or Rosmarinus are cleansing and treating your hair well. And I honestly would have never believed that; if it wouldnt work for me as well. It is a great product and I serisoulsy love the routine.
Another great product is the BB Dont Blow it Haistyler. I only bought it recently; before I went to the Electric Picnic in Dublin; more to that soon guys. All you do is wash your hair like usual and then work it in from the roots to the hair ends- about hazlenut size for midlong hair- and let it dry. It gives you a air-dried look without blow drying it yourself. I usually dont like products that I dont wash out after; my hair doesnt like it tbh; anyway; this really makes it look great; or better ;) But also; if I dry it with my hairdryer still; makes them look good.
Now to the last one; I tried maybe twice so far; not much of a hair styling person as you notice. I have quite thin hair; so I always look to get more volume in shampoos or hair products. The BB thickening mouse does exactly that. If you work it in your roots with towel dry hair; then blow dry them as usual; helping them to naturally lift them up.
I really enjoy using it so far; I will see how often I use it and how I get along with it; but I can see myself trying many more of their products soon.

Hope you like this very detailed information about Bumble&Bumble and my hair condition ;)

Lots of love

Lifestyle: Meeting Must Haves; what are yours?

I think we all know the struggle; having to face meeting after meeting; while keeping our energy levels high as well as keeping focus all day long. Being a organised person myself; I love thise challenges; it basically makes me wake up and get excited even more on such days. But then again it takes a lot of preperation to do so. I always thoughts its funny to read more about such things; like how to stay positive; how I organise myself and many more; now I am then one telling you guys what helps me. Great turn around ;)
I recently have been asked what my Meetings Must Haves are; so
below I have thought of some helpful tips or things you can do to make everything run smoothly.

1. Filofax
First things first; try to get some sort of calender in your hands. Either on your phone; notebook or a filofax like mine above. I think I have mine since fifth great -yeah no kiddn- I changed colours throughout the years; but I always had one. Its great to plan when you have free time and when you might have to run through the day.

2. Outfit
This is for me as important as the other point. I need to plan what to wear during those meetings. The day before I lay out different option and try to find the best suited one. Now it can be smart casual or more strickt; all depending on your outfit on that day. I usually go for a dress; that looks smart and mix it up with my leather jacket if I have a evening dinner included. It just make everything a bit more relaxed in my eyes. Also; big enough handbag. You will need it; trust me ;)
Heels to walk in; I would say if you can walk in them and have worn them before yes; otherwise; why not go for a different option? Wear mid heels or wedges.

3. Details
What is the saying? The devil lies in the details?
If you know you will walk around all day; and might meet up with friends or colleagues after work as well; plan your foot gear as well as make up in advance as well. Maybe you need to touch on it later in the day; so bring your make up bag as well. Also; no one wants to run out of batterie right? Recently I purchased a portable charger; yes I just gave in. But after hours of being on Instagram or Facbook; trying to get hold of people on the way; this might just save your day.

4. Make up
As a little ad on; dont wear to much make up. It will ruin your face by the end of the day. Maybe start with your usual daily make up routine and then built it up during the day if you have a few meetings running .

A great little detail there; focus on one point that you like; could be your eyes or lips. A great red lip never failed; so if it comes to it;

I think overall; just make sure you can handle as many meetings a day you have planned; try to get a pamper day in between the week to relax either during sport or a relaxed dinner at home and just enjoy the free time as much as you can.

I think this is about it; I hope you enjoyed this little adventure
Let me know what you think

What a week. I am serisoulsy still not over how great the Electric Picinc in Dublin was. I went with one of my friends from work; hired a car and went up to Stradbally. The weekend was full of bands like FKA Twigs* amazing human being. As well as old school bands like Blur and Interpol; to name the big ones. I also got to see Florence and the Machine twice; once at the festival and another time during their gig in Dublin; in the 3 Arena. I will upload more pictures on both .

Hope you have a great start in the week. Mine will soon be filled with loads of Starbucks Coffee :)

Beauty: July Favorites

This time in where has the time gone. Oh I meant July Favorites. Crazy where the time went right? I mean its early August; Holiday season for most of us and still I cant believe where the first six months went.
Nevertheless; I have a view favorites again this months which seem to reapear in the last two at least. Now that I am still traveling for work; I needed to keep my make up that I bring with me limited; now that I managed to do that. Above you find some of my essentials for my daily routine. Not much. I know but I am sure to pimp it up in August with a few new products I want to try.

This little bad boy is my hero these days. While being in Germany with loads of heat; I hardly wear more then this and powder; to keep my T Zone clear. BB really clears my dark eye circles and lightens up my face. I am also almost running out; so def will purchase this soon again. Cant imagine buying any other product.

Yet again; I think its the third time buying this little bottle; serisously need to reconsider my use of this. Otherwise; can I please get a massive bottle?

Pow ! Would fit right with it. Its moisturizing it has a great color and come on for 19 Euro really affordable. I think this could be one of the products of the year for me. By the way; mine is "09 Sweet Pop"

This is perfect for the summer girls. If you want little coverage but still dont trust yourself walking around with no make up; this is it. It still stays on your skin during the sun; with little or no retouching; application is super easy. What do you need more>

5. Last but not least; Capture your light favorite !!! This brand has gorgous choices; different options depending on skin color and the price is def. right for the product. My skin isnt breaking out at all -which could be expected -and it did last me ages; even though I use it almost every day now.

I hope you like this months/ last months favorites :)
See you with the next one

Hello people of the world. Long time no see right> I am sorry to not have updated you recently. |During my business trip; that is still ongoing I wasnt able to upload anything.
As you can see I have a little different view these days; only because I am working for a German market and have the chance to go into my country quartaly. Excited right? Some of you might have heard of my massive 13 hours Amsterdam stay on the airport; delayed flights and lost luggage included. Now that I am going "home" to Cork tmr; I finally found time yesterday to put a little update on my instagram post. I will also upload some favorites of last month later in this week; so keep an eye out for this one.

I am currently in Munich and the week before in Stuttgart; which made it easy for me to eat loads of German bread -yeah; thats a thing- and enjoy some sun while I am in Germany -30 degree tmr; serisously?

Nevertheless; I do miss Cork. My washing machine and the relaxing atmosphere. So cant wait to be back home and see my friends.
Hope you are not to mad at me for not updating you sooner :)

Beauty: St.Tropez Express Tan Review

Have you seen how much beauty there is on my blog recently. Insanse. I have bought so many products in June, that I finally come around an opinion. I hope you like those kinda post; because I have yet another one.

I have never been that girl that runs around town in shorts or bare legs; yet I always thought If my legs werent so pale... I would... Yeah right. I finally was brave enough to use self tanner or graduate tan products; I usually only complained and lived with it.
St.Tropez seemed to be around long before I got to use it; I saw it in shleves in boots or used by other bloggers. So I thought I give it a try. Now to say that I am a rather practical person; not very mm care free so to say. So when I try products; do my hair or in this case apply self tanner; I think ... a lot.
You guys should have seen my laughing; I was like this makes no sense. Will this stay that dark; should I remove it again? OMG what is this colour?

Applying
I started applying the foam with the gloves provided; using 3-4 pumps on the legs and 2 around my stomach and lower back. I only wanted to start with my legs and stomach; because I though I can hide it well if it goes wrong and its a good are to practise.
And it was; after all all well. I waited one hour after applying to get the "light" tan I wanted. I honestly dont want people asking if I have been on holiday eventhough I was in the office the whole time; na na. I wanted light tan, that looks like I have spent the weekend outside :) if you know what I mean.
And I got all that. It didnt smell weird, it was fairly easy to appyly of you dont worry to much about it and is a great endresult.
The price is reasonable for what It is; I dont think I would go cheaper because I do want a good product on my skins if I already decide to do this.

Graduate Tan
If you want to top this up and keep the glow; I would recommend the graduate tan body lotion as well which keeps my skin tan just a little longer and its also very hydration. ++

If you want to have a look I would say have a look around boots; there are so many variations and I rather have a look before I buy it online.

Also; I think you get a pretty good price out of that right now

Happy tanning,
B

Beauty: Summer Prep for Skin and Soul

As summer time is hitting most shelves as well as some of your out there are planing a beach holiday; I thought its a great idea to share my personal tips of how I prep myself as well as my skin for the summer time.

1. Exfoliate
Oh god you havent heard that one before right? :) I know its an old school one but it is really the first thing that will make a difference. Rouch eges, dry skin; it gets rid of all and makes it super soft.

2. Moisturise
Next Step for myself is to moisturise, currently with the graduate tan lotion by St.Tropez; its very effective for hydrating my skin as well; super skintone included.

3. Shopping
Yeah, you will need to get out of your boots eventually my dear. Enough of socks; hello sandals. I bought white Birkenstocks a few days back, which I am total awe with; super comfy and currently trendy as well.

4. Fitness
I think esp. during the summer months; people are more active, are out and about all weekend and enjoy the sun. You dont usually endulge as much as during winter, I think. I personally like salad and fruits anyway; so I only have more reasons to eat those. But try to maybe have a few more walks; dance or do yoga. Just be active; I am sure you will feel a lot more refreshed and active in the summer heat.

5. Just relax
Yeah thats the soul part I was talking about. We often tend to stress around little things, worry about work about how we look and how others see us; at least I do; but hey I am only human. I relax a lot during a coffee break on the weekend or while doing yoga at home.Try to find something that calms you down; that excites you and makes you have fun. You will see; this helps a lot to make you look a lot healthier as well.

6. Water
Yup; I wont leave this one out. Drink Up!!! Hydration esp. in the summer is very important; it helps your organs do the work; keeps you healty and lets you shine from within. Who wouldnt want that right?

I hope you found some of those useful for yourself and can enjoy the summer with great friends, nice weather and great skin :)

Lots of love, happy days

Another week hast past; I still cant belive June is almost over; like where did the time go? I have the feeling the past six months have been either crazy busy or boring. I have the constant feeling I am not living enough if you know what I mean? Like take the opportunities as such; time just passes.
But I hope as July is my Birthday Month -yup 1st July- that its taking a turn for the better.
I really want to improve my blog and finally get things done here; I cant wait to turn things up a notch you know :):) My weekend has been filled mostly with cinema and food. I`ve seen "The Longest Ride" which was seemi ok; I have seen better and worse. The food was great; but I really need to stop my treats :)
I am currently really in love with my new Zara jeans; they are so soft and ripped on the knees; very casual :) Just love the stripes/jeans comby for this summer...

Hope you have a great start in the week; I already cant wait for Friday
