One of the greatest things in Amsterdam is food. Of course the people are super friendly, the city is a beauty and so is the food. I couldnt try it all during 4 days in Amsterdam, sadly; believe me I have tried. But below you see a litte inspiration when it comes to either food to try or places to go.
Hope you ennjoy this little feauture of Amsterdam; hopefully I will be on a holiday in the next few months again; so I can repeat this post :):)
Let`s begin with breakfast. Its a very important meal for everyone of us, we all know that. But the little breakfast I had every morning was just very good. The OJ was fresh; which you dont get at all in Ireland. The bagels were fresh; the coffe as strong in its taste but I was so happy with it all...
Of course there is cheeese; I mean you just have to try that right? I tried every cheese there was to try; and they are soooo good. I also bought a Gauda to bring home with me; little one of course.
Restaurant Recommendations: Humphrey's Restaurant
This little restaurant might look a little shy from the outside; but the design inside as well as the food proofs its worth. We catched a early bird menu as we started getting hungry around 5pm already. The food itself was not to expensive, in my eyes at least as Cork itself is not to cheap and I am used to meeting friends in London sometime; so I cant moan.
I had a little burger as starter; yes as a starter because it was that little :)
I also had mussles as well as some salad and chips; but we shared them so dont judge me.
Little cheese plate :)
As a little overview of the stay; very friendly staff; really a nice place to go if you around that Area (Amsel) and want to have a good choice of good food and wine.
Last but not least; chips and sausage. Wasnt to bad to be honest; but I am sure there are better ones.
And Nutella, Strawberries and Waffles; what is better than that? I had two in two days; says it all
I hope you enjoyed the little view on my short holiday. Loads more to come hopefully...
